Jesus, the Ecumenical Christ, the Divine Statesman, teaches us to correct what is wrong without making judgements. And this should be our posture with regard to induced abortion.
More than two thousand years ago, in such a wise way, He said to us, "Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone" (The Gospel according to John 8:7). And which of us can do that? None of us; not then and not now.
The aim of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit1 is to enlighten and present the solutions that the Divine Master offers us for the daily situations we face, considering that we must not only look after our physical body, but above all our spiritual body.

Read below some of the explanations about the spiritual consequences of induced abortionon in an interview with the Minister-Preacher of the Religion of the Third Millennium Paula Suelí.
What is the difference between a spontaneous abortion and an induced abortion?
When we talk about such a serious issue, the first point to be considered is that spiritually spontaneous abortion is of a different nature from induced abortion. After all, the first situation occurs even though the family did not wish it, in other words, it is a natural process in the life of that Spirit that is to be reincarnated (the child) and also in the life of the family (the parents).
This occurs because, in line with the Divine Laws, that Spirit has a very short period to fulfill here on Earth: this was part of their spiritual agenda2. This process of ‘separation,’ which is so fast, is very painful for whoever has to face this apparent distance (between those who remain on Earth and those who return to the Spiritual World).
But spiritually this is not a loss: the parents who display such a generous gesture of having a child for so little time under their responsibility on Earth assumed this commitment in the Spiritual World to receive them under their care for such a short period.
By making this decision (while still in the Spiritual World) they already knew the drama they would face, but above all they wanted to contribute towards the evolution of that being who was entrusted to them as a child, showing an act of great courage, generosity, and love.
That is why, given the Divine Law, this ‘separation’ does not represent a final point in the spiritual bond that united this family. On the contrary, these ties remain alive. They are still children and parents, which is proof that heavenly protection does not abandon anyone.

Induced abortion, on the other hand, is of a different nature altogether; it is a gesture of violence. This is the elimination of the biological life of a spiritual being who had been authorized by God and by his/her parents to reincarnate.
All sexual relations that result in the fertilization of the egg by the sperm are a sign of the commitment of the parents to that Spirit that wishes to be born.
Even if his/her parents do not have a stable relationship or say that they do not want to have a child at that particular moment in time, the fact that they are consciously disposed to engage in a gesture that may result in pregnancy is considered to be a concession from them, by way of their freewill, for that Spirit to reincarnate under their responsibility. That is why interrupting this cycle on purpose causes terrible suffering.

When does the Spirit link to the body and the life of the fetus begin?
The Spirit links to the body at the moment of conception (when the sperm fertilizes the egg). The body has to serve the needs of the Soul, of the reincarnating Spirit, so it can carry out the task it needs to perform here on Earth in the best way possible.
That is why it is important that that particular Soul be connected to the body, uniting with its physical structure from the very first moment, when it is still a group of cells (which are extraordinary and unrepeatable, considering the singularity of each person, from the moment the zygote is formed).
Hence, the bond between the Soul and the body solidifies right at the moment of conception―the time when all Spirits involved become mother, father, and child, and form a family.
Many of God’s children are wounded in each induced abortion that takes place. The first is the child, who feels absolutely everything that is happening. All the violence of the process is perceived by that being who should be born and who trusted his/her parents, in the certainty that he/she would be protected, welcomed, and respected with regard to his/her right to exist.
The mother and father are also wounded, but they often do not realize it. From the spiritual point of view, when a child is aborted, it does not cease to exist as a Spirit; it continues its path as a Spirit. In most cases, it does not understand the reasons for the violence it suffered and turns against its parents and haunts them spiritually.
So that group of Spirits (the parents and the child that was not born) is in debt. And whether the remorse of the mother and father is recognized publicly or not, added to the resentment and sorrow of the one who was aborted, countless times the situation is going to turn into one of spiritual obsession and persecution, which are such great unhappiness that only centuries and centuries of ‘rebeginnings’ can repair.

Furthermore, considering that the Spirit is part of the spiritual agenda of its parents, a great void grows in the lives and hearts of those involved. This is very profound sadness, because it lodges in the Soul.
Hence, the importance of teaching our families that sexuality must be taken seriously; it is natural, divine, and wonderful, but it is a very big responsibility. Fertilization is not just a biological and physical process; it is an event of the Spirit. Disrespecting it causes deep suffering to oneself and to others.
Spiritual rights and duties
The President-Preacher of the Religion of the Third Millennium, Paiva Netto, clearly shows us that the suffering resulted from the practice of an induced abortion is not God’s vengeance, but the direct result of an attitude of violation of the Divine Laws, when someone’s rights to life and citizenship are disrespected.
This finding is even more evident in the subtitle "Legal defense of the fetus" from his article Pela Vida [For Life]:
“In Article 2, Chapter 1 (Personality and capacity) of Title I (Natural persons) of the Brazilian Civil Code of 2002, we find: ‘The civil personality of an individual commences at his birth with life; but the law protects the rights of the unborn person from his conception.’ In fact, one of the great banners of the Legion of Good Will (LBV) and the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit is to fight for the constitutional right of the fetus, guaranteeing it the legal prerogative to be born and to live.”
As seen from this perspective the unborn child is, therefore, another individual; its life is not the life of the mother, nor is it the life of the father. No unborn child is the uterus; no fetus or unborn baby is an extension of the mother’s body.
It survives, of course, thanks to her generosity, to the nutrition granted from her body, from the love of her Soul that welcomes him/her into her womb, but the unborn child is a different person from his/her mother, and his/her identity precedes the maternal uterus: he/she already existed in the Spiritual World.

1 Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit — also called the Religion of the Third Millennium, and the Religion of Universal Love. This is the Ecumenical Religion of Brazil and the world.
2 Spiritual agenda — The Religion of Universal Love teaches that no one is born on Earth without a purpose to their existence. The Heavenly Educator Himself, Jesus, gave us His example: “For I have come down from Heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me” (The Gospel according to John 6:38). Therefore, each one of us, before we are reincarnated on Earth, assumes in the spiritual world—our homeland of origin—a set of commitments, situations, and challenges that make up our Spiritual Agenda.
