We Are All Children of a God Who Is Love
White, Black, or Indigenous. African, European, American, Asian, or Native. What truly matters? The Divine Religion explains that our Heavenly Father created us equal in Spirit and generously allows us to reincarnate in different bodies and circumstances—often leading us to experience various ethnic backgrounds and live in several nations throughout the ages. Yet, at our core, He made us alike in our struggles and aspirations so that we may evolve as citizens of the infinite Universe.
Who, in their right mind, does not seek happiness? Whether in the United States or Canada, Sudan or Romania, Jamaica or Iran—or anywhere on Earth—every human being faces the challenges of existence in the pursuit of fulfillment and peace for themselves and their loved ones.
By spiritual origin and destiny, we are all Brothers and Sisters. The history of civilization is marked by profound biological intermingling, and the future urgently calls for us to embrace one another as creatures of the same Creator. From the insightful article “The Miscegenation in the World Is Unavoidable,” by writer Paiva Netto, we share this fraternal reflection:
“The inevitable human miscegenation is a fact of global proportions. Many scholars have stated that the concept of a ‘pure race’ is increasingly diminishing in the planet. . . . For this reason, I posed a question in the article ‘The Divine Abolitionist,’ published in my book Crônicas & Entrevistas [Chronicles & Interviews]: Since the times of Monera, who is not of mixed race in this world? . . . Don Bosco (1815-1888) once said, ‘A grand event is being prepared in heaven to astonish the peoples. . . . A great reform will take place among all nations, and the world will blend like an ocean.’”
